Coach Profile: Mary Haug, MSW, LCSW, CCTP
Hello! My name is Mary Haug and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I also have an Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Women's Health. Much of my professional career has been spent in support of people who are experiencing acute crisis and trauma, including difficult medical diagnoses. It has been a privilege to witness the resiliency of the human spirit.
I believe that a key component of healing is education. When we can understand the WHY of feeling, it helps us to know the HOW of healing. I incorporate a holistic approach including looking at the Seven Domains of Health, Attachment, and Family Systems Theory, as well as a Feminist, Multicultural, and Trauma Informed framework. Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy skills are a constant practice both in my professional and personal life.
When I am not working I enjoy yoga, learning Spanish, reading, and spending time with my husband and three young children. Cookies are my love language and Sundays are set aside as "Bake Day" where we try a new cookie recipe each week.
It takes strength and courage to reach out for help, and I am proud of you for being here. My goal is to provide you with unconditional positive regard and compassion as well as the tools you need for your healing journey.
For there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it, if only we’re brave enough to be it.
